Touching on, prodding and then diving headfirst into themes of capitalism and social commentary (heavily influenced by George's Orwell's "Animal Farm"), "Animals" is a truly great experience for anyone willing to wade through the bitterness surrounding it. As far as songwriting goes, however, this album is extremely tight (despite containing three tracks clocking in at over 10 minutes), with "Sheep" proving one of Pink Floyd's most enjoyable songs. If you liked "The Dark Side Of The Moon" and "Wish You Were Here", this is the next logical step, and you will enjoy it just as much.
